Jamie Marie Rose was born and raised in central Illinois. She received her BFA with honors from Illinois State University in 2013 and has since worked and taught in studios across the country. She uses multiple techniques to create anything from cast sculptures to ephemeral, site-specific installations. Rose has won many awards and honors for her artwork, including a Puffin Foundation Grant and the Jerry Raphael Fellowship through the Metropolitan Contemporary Glass Group. Her work has been written about in publications such as American Craft and Vogue. Rose is currently pursuing her MFA at Alfred University in Sculpture/Dimensional Studies, investigating transient processes in conjunction with glass.
